Meet Willow, a rescued pit bull who thinks she’s a cat! Rescued in January 2020 at around nine weeks old by Socorro Jaramillo, who already had two cats and a chihuahua, her owner soon noticed how Willow wanted to copy everything her young cat Percy did.
While adorable Pitty is often seen on her social media profiles snuggling next to cats and even participating in a kitten session, there’s nothing Willow loves more than climbing the cat tree to join her feline siblings – though she’s most definitely much bigger!
Although Jaramillo was suspicious at first and had to help Willow descend from such a great height, Willow’s feline demeanor became an essential part of her personality – and her daily exercise routine.
Now Willow easily jumps onto window sills and cat trees for a bird’s eye view, just like her two cat siblings.
Willow’s feline escapades have earned her a ton of attention on TikTok (opens in a new tab), as well. His account has over 2.2 million likes and over 20,000 followers.
Willow rose to social media fame after a TikTok of her went viral last summer (at the time of publication, it has over 2.1 million likes). “You are a 60 pound pit bull raised by two cats and a chihuahua,” the caption reads.
The video shows Willow perched on the windowsill, the back of the couch and the cat tree, seemingly oblivious to her size compared to her siblings.

Willow is a great example of the joy a rescue dog can bring to your home – and how good Pit Bulls are as pets.
“I think of her as a giant baby,” Jaramillo said. “She follows us everywhere we go around the house and almost always has to lay on top of us. She loves humans with her whole being and constantly wiggles her ass every time she meets a new person.”
