Avril Lavigne shared a sweet moment with GAYLE before taking the stage for her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday (September 24).
The pop-punk princess was spotted hugging the “abcdefu” singer backstage ahead of her performance on Daytime Stage. In the short clip, she saw a goth-chic look with black fishnets and chunky black boots. The two singers were happy to see each other again and chat after their embrace. Right after she finished swinging, Avril went straight to Gayle and Jax to talk about her performance where she played hits like “My Happy Ending” and “Sk8r Boi.” Gayle and Avril are just a few of the artists performing at this year’s Daytime Stage. Other performers include Maggie Rogers, Big Time Rush, Girl in Redand more.

The “Complicated” singer recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of her debut album let’s go and received a huge honor – a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “It’s probably one of the coolest days of my life,” she told the crowd as she accepted the star, adding, “I remember seeing those legendary names and I never could have imagined that mine would be here.”
