Britain’s saddest cat who has no teeth and can’t meow has found a home in time for Christmas.
Kato has been donated to a pet charity three times in two years by owners discouraged by her health issues.
The five-year-old had rotten teeth and an ulcer in his eye.
But now she has been taken in by Federica Pasari who says they were made for each other.
Kato even manages a small cry of appreciation.
But his health problems worsened.
She now has a skin condition that is causing her face to bleed and her fur to fall out.
Federica, from Milton Keynes, Bucks, says insurers won’t cover pre-existing condition, so she is fundraising online.
She said, “Kato can’t meow but squeaks every once in a while.
“She melts my heart. Kato is my soul mate, the cutest baby.”
Kato first came to the charity Cats Protection from a multi-cat household during lockdown in 2020.
After being rehoused, she was sent back to the center twice more.
Isobel McCarroll, from the charity, said: ‘We understand how worrying it can be to have a cat with a persistent illness.
