The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore will close the registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 today, 21st September, at 5pm. Candidates who have not yet registered for the CAT 2022 exam can do the same on the official website of IIM CAT—iimcat.ac.in.
The CAT 2022 exam will be held on November 27, 2022 in three sessions, so the exam duration is 120 minutes. Admission cards will be released on October 27.
There will be three sessions: Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension; Section II: Interpretation of data and logical reasoning; Section III: Quantitative Capacity. Candidates will have exactly 40 minutes to answer the questions in each section and they will not be allowed to move from one section to another while answering the questions in one section.
CAT 2022 will take place at centers across approximately 150 test cities.
CAT Exam 2022: Steps for Registration
Step 1: Visit the official website—iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the “Registration of a new candidate” option.
Step 3: Complete the application form with all the necessary details required.
Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the form.
Step 5: Download the application form and get a hard copy for future reference.
The registration process started on August 3 this year. The charges for the same are ₹1150 for applicants in the SC, ST and PwD categories while ₹2300 for all other categories of candidates.
After the registration window closes, applicants will be able to change the photo, signature, trial city preference in the application form (if required). A very short editing window will be made available to registered candidates. This option will only be valid for applicants who have paid the applicable registration fee and successfully registered for CAT 2022 within the time limit.
CAT results are expected to be reported by the second week of January 2023. The score is only valid until December 31, 2023 and will therefore be accessible on the website.
