More like “Sip Me More”.
Doja Cat attended the Valentino Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday wearing a long black trench coat over a miniskirt and bra top, as well as a waterfall wig with bangs Bettie Page style.
She took the goth look to the next level with her choice of accessory: a bedazzled handbag in the shape of a gloved hand with curved claw-like fingernails that held an entire bottle of Patrón El Alto tequila ($179).
Designed by Chris Habana, the surreal crystal-covered tote – worth $20,000 – was 3D printed to match Doja’s hand measurements and can be carried as a handbag or worn as a glove.
He’s covered in around 1,000 Swarovski crystals and 3,000 pearls, and his greenhouse-shaped fingernails have been painted gold by artists to mimic a real manicure.
“I always like a kind of organic gag, nothing that feels forced but fits perfectly with Doja as a person and as an artist,” said the singer’s stylist and creative director, Brett Alan Nelson, in a press release.
“My girlfriend loves tequila cocktails, so I took the idea for this couture-level bottle from Patrón El Alto in Paris but made it an accessory that wouldn’t leave her… I contacted Chris Habana. “
He continued, “I told her I wanted something that looked like it was off the Parisian couture runway, but I wanted it to have a bit of a surreal vibe.”
Indeed, Doja, 27, leaned into surrealism with her looks that made the headlines at Paris Fashion Week.
First, she sat in the front row of Schiaparelli, completely covered in over 30,000 red Swarovski crystals; When fans slammed her for not adding false eyelashes to her gem-encrusted eyelids, she cheered as she wore false eyelashes as her eyebrows, mustache and goatee to the Viktor & Rolf show.
After Valentino, the superstar had another quick change, taking off her wig and donning a blue leather dress for the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show – for which she accessorized with a bunch of grapes.
Maybe after all that tequila, she was craving wine.
