Kate Beckinsale cuts an original figure in a voluminous black puffy dress

Kate Beckinsale knows how to make a fashion statement – even if it’s “garbage”.

The daughter of the late Porridge actor Richard Beckinsale wore a black puffball dress – which appears to have been made from rubbish bags – for a Christmas feast with friends in Puglia, Italy.

In snaps shared to Instagram on Tuesday, the Pearl Harbor actress, 49, was joined by her cat Clive, who she walked on a leash, and was more appropriately dressed in a tuxedo.

Suggesting her outfit looks like a grow bag, Kate jokes: “While going to lunch I was able to quietly grow eight lettuces and a zucchini in my dress.”

She styled her shiny brown tresses slicked back into a bun and secured in place with a black headpiece, while she wore a pair of sunglasses.

Kate gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of black platform heels and opted for polka dot tights to complete her look.

And it’s not the first time Kate has shown her affection for her beloved cat, as she previously shared a video of herself cleaning up her feline friend.

Last Friday, she took to Instagram to share a video of herself and her cat Clive on board a private jet.

The actress looked sensational in cat print pajamas and used a hot towel to clean up her feline friend, who appeared to be wearing a green wool sweater.

She looked glam with a full-coverage makeup palette as she styled her brunette locks into a high ponytail for the steal.

She tied a huge black bow on top of her head and accessorized with a set of silver earrings.

Alongside the hilarious clip, she posted a slew of snaps of the pair after the flight, where the star dressed in a black bow got closer to her pet.

In her caption, Kate wrote, “Safe.”
