Lahore woman sues vet for 900,000 rupees over cat death – Pakistan

A Lahore woman has sued a veterinarian over the death of her cat, alleging negligence.

The owner, who has been identified as Fariha, claimed her cat died of excessive bleeding after the vet took out four of her teeth.

She is now claiming Rs900,000 in damages.

When Fariha came for the hearing on Saturday, she even brought her dead cat’s kittens to seek justice.

In a similar case in 2019, a person went to court in Karachi after his cat was killed in a road accident.

The court ordered the filing of a case against the woman responsible for the cat’s death.
