Never Trump Republican Congressman Threatens Cartoon Cat On Twitter

Republican Never Trump and incumbent Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) threatened violence against a popular cartoon cat Twitter account named @catturd2 (or commonly referred to as Catturd) on a Ukrainian meme.

catturd is an anonymous right-wing satirical social media account and has just over one million followers. The account was frequently retweeted by all 45e President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. Catturd is also known to have led a #CatturdForTwitterCEO campaign on Twitter. Catturd and Elon Musk retweet each other’s Tweets.

Kinzinger was one of ten Republicans led by Rep. Liz Cheney who voted to impeach President Donald J Trump, accusing him of “inciting insurrection” for his alleged role in the Capitol protest.

Below is the tweet that prompted Rep. Kinzinger to respond with the following response: “Literally wrong. If I met you in person, it wouldn’t end well…for you. Sick. Trolls who have never done anything in their life claim to be patriots and mock true warriors.

In typical Catturd fashion, the response to Kinzinger was demeaningly comical. “A sitting congressman is threatening violence against a US citizen for laughing at a meme he found funny. 😂 I can’t stop laughing at this baby.

Catturd then insinuated that Congressman Kinzinger was “tweeting drunk.”

Other social media influencers then took to Twitter to poke fun at Kinzinger.
