Everyone was a winner during the Perron Institute’s mini golf day for children on Thursday.
Families joined two of this year’s telethon’s little stars, Ari and Leo, for a day of mini-golf at Wembley Golf Course, kicking off a week of charity golf fundraising.
Not only did they get to hang out with Fat Cat, but the irrepressible kids got to ride in a golf cart and take turns hitting the driving range.
Leo’s mum Natalie says his experience playing T-ball has paid off.
“It’s a similar action, keeping your eyes on the ball,” she said. “They also got to try out the driving range, so he was pretty happy.”
The Perron Institute is also offering a $250,000 prize to the lucky winner of its Hole in One contest for the Telethon.
Until October 9, “golden balls” will be randomly inserted into the hopper at Wembley Golf Course, giving players the chance to earn a place in the shootout for a hole-in-one.
If there is more than one winner, the $250,000 cash prize will be shared.
Wembley Golf Course will also host Perrons’ Play with the Pros even on Friday 7th October.
All funds raised will be donated to the Telethon for the benefit of future research at the Perron Institute on children’s health.
