A TikToker has gone viral after uploading a video claiming a contractor trapped his cat inside the wall for three days during bathroom renovations.

Since its launch in 2016, TikTok has been the first place people can share random stories about their lives with the possibility of them going viral.

That’s exactly what TikToker Ashlin Hadden did, as she recently uploaded a video claiming that a contractor working on her bathroom accidentally trapped her cat inside the walls for three days.

The video has been viewed over 2.5 million times and viewers took to the comments to share their thoughts on the situation.

On Oct. 3, Ashlin uploaded a video in which she explained that she had hired someone to remodel the bathroom while she was out of town on a three-day work trip.

She said she got home and couldn’t find her cat, and after hearing meows from under the tub, she knocked off part of the wall and her cat appeared.

“Yes, the contractor. Stupid contractor** put my cat on some drywall under the tub. The story of my life,” she explained.

As the video went viral, viewers flooded with comments calling out Ashlin for leaving her cat outside despite knowing the contractor was coming.

One user replied, “You paid him to drywall and keep a cat? Or just drywall…”

Another viewer said: ‘When I’m doing chores at my house and I’m not going to be home, my cats are locked in a separate room. It’s all about you!!

“It’s not their fault…cats like to hide and be quiet. I keep my cats in their own room when I work,” a third user commented.
