Police received a report around 8 a.m. that a two-meter-long snake had been found in a garden at 44 Tai Mong Tsai Road, Sai Kung. The resident said the snake appeared in the front yard near the washing machine, where the cat food was placed. He skipped the cat food but ate a three month old kitten. He then immediately ran away along the water outlet next to him. By the time the police arrived, there was no trace of the snake.

The resident still has lingering fears after the incident, saying the snake was “very big” and had entered the house several times this year. She also said that there were several cats in the house. She said if she didn’t keep cats there would be mice, but keeping cats attracted snakes.
